Since 2014, the Marie Curie High School of Garda has launched a long-term biodiversity study program in the Valley of the Mills, called “Garda Project SIC IT3210007,” which over time has allowed the collection of fundamental data on the species and habitats of the Protected Area, particularly on travertine, tailor’s gypsum, white-clawed crayfish, owlflies in dry meadows, and the bridal veil of Garda, an endemic caryophyllaceae plant exclusive to the Garda Gulf. This vast amount of data is partially available at the high school and partially at the Territorial Museum. The exhibited material allows even the inexperienced visitor to directly experience the complex organization of the animal and plant society present along the protected course of the Tesina stream.
